Professor Mary Anne Cartelli Earns Positive Review for "The Five-Colored Clouds of Mount Wutai: Poems from Dunhuang"
Professor Mary Anne Cartelli's recently-published book, "The Five-Colored Clouds of Mount Wutai: Poems from Duhuang", received a positive review in the current issue of The Journal of Asian Studies, where the reviewer called it "an invaluable resource for scholars and students of Buddhist studies, Tang history, Chinese literature, art history, and sacred place." Professor Cartelli, of the Classical & Oriental Studies Department, was invited to speak about her research at a major international conference, held at Princeton University in September.
