Professor Larry Shore Co-Hosts 50th Anniversary Commemoration of RFK's Visit to South Africa
Dr. Larry Shore (Film & Media Department), whose film RFK In the Land of Apartheid: A Ripple of Hope chronicles Senator Robert F. Kennedy's visit to South Africa in 1966, will participate in the 50th Anniversary Commemoration of Kennedy's visit to the late Chief Albert Luthuli in 8 June 1966 http://www.huffingtonpost.com/the-conversation-africa/the-time-the-other-kenned_b_10103176.html . According to a statement released by the Luthuli Museum, "the visit, at the height of the repression of the Apartheid regime, was a source of great solace and inspiration to all the oppressed in this country."
