Professor Regina Miranda Interviewed for Reuters Health Article on Screening for Suicide Risk
Dr. Regina Miranda, of the Psychology Department, was recently quoted in a Reuters Health article, "Still Not Enough Evidence to Support Screening for Suicide Risk". Dr. Miranda, who has researched suicide, particularly in adolescents and young adults, told Reuters Health " the main message is that more research is needed on the effectiveness of screening in primary care in identifying people at risk for suicide and in referring them for interventions that will actually reduce their risk of engaging in suicidal behavior."
