Professor Lou Massa's 75th Birthday Honored in 'Structural Chemistry' Journal
Dr. Lou Massa, of the Chemistry Department, is being honored on the occasion of his 75th birthday by a special issue of the scientific journal Structural Chemistry, entitled Professor Lou Massa Festschrift: A Path through Quantum Crystallography. Dr. Massa has made significant contributions to several subfields of structural chemistry, and (with William Clinton) initiated what is now known as "Quantum Crystallography (QCr)." Massa has also championed the popularization of science to the educated public through his televised program series Science and the Written Word: Science, Technology, and Society, and his book of the same title.
